Last time I served, I sent back the check they gave me for the one day with the phrase I don't want you blood money written across it and have never been called since. I gave them 6 years in the military from 72 to 78, I have done my civic duty.

Dang, that's intense. Awesome. Wish I had the guts to do something like that.

We'd be put in jail for that in our little inbred hick town.

We are all guaranteed a trial by jury, and serving jury duty is our civic obligation. The next time they call me I will serve.

Good news: I called the Jury number last night and was told I did not have to attend. Cool, now I can continue to make a living.

Bad news: My transmission went out last night as I was making the call.

At least I don't have to sit in that dumb Jury room.
