I am wondering how many of you fly out for shows? And if you do, what do you take as a carryon? The last thing in the world you would want is to have the airlines lose your show. This just happened to a friend of mine in New York. He now has to replace his entire school show. That stinks!

Sometimes it might be better to send your stuff on ahead using UPS or something. That way, there is a tracking number so you always know where it is, you can follow its journey online and it will always get there safe and sound and be waiting on your arrival.

Mr todd75, sorry to hear about the problems your friend is having.
I have never been inside an airplane in all of my life! However, one of the advantages as a mentalist, my entire act can be bought at any local stationery store, the only thing that I'd have to carry is a 'Brainwave Deck'. Even when I was a magician, I'd been able to compress things down so my whole close-up/stand-up act would fit in my jacket pockets, without too many unslightly bulges. However, many many moons ago, when I was a children's magician, I used a 'Rolon Table', if that went missing...I was well and truly lost...ouch! So I can certainly sympathise with your friend. |
