I don't know if you guys have visited the "silver" department at the Magic Warehouse lately. I decided to try them out and bought some '64 Kennedy halves, which I have been meaning to purchase for a long time. They are fantastic and I don't know if they re-edged them or what, but they cling to my palm like they have stick-um on them! Wish I had them when I first started practicing "Winged Silver" I could have really used them back then.
I was a bit hesitant to get them there, but I thought I would give it a shot. I have a great set of silver Franklins, but I wanted the silver Kennedy's for some of my "special" routines. They are really, really a beautiful set, it was quite a pleasant surprise! I usually just do business with the big guys if you know what I mean, but I have no regrets here at all. I just thought I would give you guys a heads up if you were interested. Also, I want to mention I received them in "two" days.....

What has annoyed me about the Warehouse is that they list items they don't actually have as being in stock. You then happily add them to your cart and check out and then it suddenly says "out of stock". It's not just that someone snatched the last set seconds before you but it is a permanent listing of things they no longer have.
Today it was Copper/Silver Walking Liberties. I also tried for a month to get a HH Walker set with the same result. Annoying to have to go through the system and check out the cart again and again, week after week. However this set appears to be in stock again today. But I'm not sure if I trust that info now. I don't know if the idea is to have people impulse buy a few other items while they are there or if it's just bad web design. In any case it isn't strongly motivating for someone comparing the web site to other competing magic stores.

I bought a roll of uncirculated Kennedy's a year or two ago, and they DO have a superb edge on them. Not sure if that's an advantage or a disadvantage for a beginner though!

I know what you mean Noobini, I had the same problem on some other items in the silver department. However if you can go that route you will get your coins a whole lot faster than with the big guys.....
You may be right Rutabaga, but it sure would have made my life easier in my starting days, however, it doesn't really matter much now.....

I got my hands on some Peace dollars from magicwarehouse and I loved them. They matched the shell that I bought with them.

Thanks errolbacalzo, I was wondering how the silver dollar coins would be. I don't have any Peace dollars, but I do like their design.....

Why would you buy silver coins from a magic site instead of a coin store or ebay where they are 30-40% less?

I've been to a coin store and the good silver coins costs about the same as the ones I bought in magicwarehouse. Another good thing about buying it at magicwarehouse is I did not have to go through the box of coins in the coin store to find those that matched the shell. I've done it when I was looking for matching coins for my morgan dollar shell and it was not easy.

I like Morgans too CENTRALCOLUMBIA, in fact, that is all the "silver" dollars I have. I like the design on those Peace dollars too though, might just have to get me a set.....
I have got them at all those places organicmagician, I guess it was just the convenience and the time factor.....2 days.....Also, I just was curious as to how nice they would be..... I know what you mean errolbacalzo, I received some Ben Franklin silver halves from E-Bay to try to match them to a shell I had and I ended up having to re-edge 3 of them. It took a while, but they came out pretty good, luckily..... That is correct SouthAfricanpenny, however, I do a lot of routines where noise isn't a factor. Actually, I do use soft coins a lot too, but I agree, I would think twice before re-edging them. When I am dealing with "my" soft coins the edges are all, but non-existant. Luckily my classic palm doesn't mind anymore.....
