I bought an Invisible Deck from an individual and was rather disappointed with the purchase because the cards, when lightly spread, reveal more than one card facing down. No matter how lightly I spread the cards, several cards are revealed face down. Obviously, the cards were too lightly roughed. I can't afford that from a deck that I spent $12.50 and under the impression that I was getting what I had asked for in a quality Invisible Deck.
Experiencing the situation with the deck I just recently purchased, I don't want a deck that's lightly roughed that multiple cards are revealed and I don't want a deck that's so tight that it's hard to reveal a single card at all. Any recommend location/ someone to whom to purchase a reliable Invisible Deck? Thanks... |

Are multiple cards revealed when you apply pressure to the deck?
The way a rough and smooth system should work is: Pressure = no spread ; Light touch = spread. When you spread the cards apply pressure until you arrive at the pair you wish to seperate...then lighten up,and only those two 'should' seperate. Hope that helps. Here is a good source for all card needs. http://www.cardsbymartin.com/ Rich |

I'm able to control the deck I have VERY WELL by never touching the bottom of the cards that I don't want spread. When I come to the card that needs to be spread, I *very lightly* touch the bottom of that card and they come apart with NO problems. This is my first invisible deck and I may just be incredibly lucky to have such a well-roughed deck, but after following the instructional DVD that came with mine, I can say I've had NO problems. Hope that helps.

I have had a similar problem from a well know web site, so I have changed vendors.
Try buying your decks from Magic Pro Shop, http://www.magicproshop.com. Not only is their quality excellent but they also will customize gaffed decks for you. Another possibility is Aaron Smith's The Magic Depot, http://www.magic.org because he has a 30 day return policy. Hope this helps. |

Daryl at Fooler Doolers sells a perfect ID. I don't know if he makes them himself, but all of his gaffed cards and decks are great.

I got a deck, that I couldn't spread until I rubbed the cards to reduce the tack...

Daryl's are the standard ID's that most Magic shops will carry, and are the best quality I have come across
