As a 20+ years exp pool guy. what you need is powdered or flaked Calcium. When mixed with water it can get too hot to hold, you will need to experiment but I would think that 1/4 teaspoon would be plenty. A pool store or a shop that sells concrete additives would have it. If you can't find it let me know I have a supply of it in my shop.

Would someone with the instructions to Hot Ball, please PM me. I've misplaced my copy and can't remember the recommended proportions of the two ingredients used.
