I think it was Lance Burton, or maybe Copperfield who performed a Vanishing girl. It looked like the girl walked to the middle of the stage, was covered with a cloth) sort of like it was going to be a vertical Asrah, and the cloth is whisked away and the girl is gone. I think it was also performed on Leno, or the worlds greatest magicians? It looked like the only possible explanation was a trap door. That's why I am thinking Lance did this because he has his own theater. Or maybe it was the magician who vanished? Anyways I am really trying to find this video clip and have been on Google videos all day. Does anyone know were I can find this clip?
Thanks,

Copperfield did a Vertical Asrah in the Fires of Passion special.

This could also be the Marilyn illusion that Brett Daniels performed on WGM2.

M-Illusion is right. In my opinion it's the Marilyn Illusion performed by Brett Daniels on WGM 2.
Look on youtube, you might find what you're looking for. Oliver. |

I have made several of the forms used for this effect. The last was for Larry Wilsons' WONDERLAND show in Reno.
It is actually based on an old Jarrett effect that was used to vanish Dracula (Bela Lugosi) on stage. Two men grabbed him as his back was turned, struggled and then the cape was pulled away.

Lance does it in every show during his "Victorian Ballroom" scene. The first time I saw it - "wow", it was a real shocker - totally unexpected. Once you know what to look for the second time it's kind of obvious.

I saw his show a few months ago and it is done at the end of what he calls "Adam and Eve." I can't think of the name of the illusion, but Lance enters a big cabinet, his legs and head visible, the middle doors open and the girl in a long robe emerges where his torso should be, but isn't. All the doors are opened, to show that Lance's middle has disappeared. The doors close, and lance "returns", comes to the foot of the stage, kisses the girl, and whisks away the robe. It is really beautiful.

It`s a beautiful illusion. Lance does it perfectly. And it`s not easy to pull it off. I think it is a spinoff of the Mascot Moth illusion.

I just remembered, it's the Disembodied Princess illusion he uses to produce the girl. I've never cared for it. It just seems like a puzzle. Besides, that cabinet is big enough for 3 or 4 people.
