Why don't you go to your favourite magic shop? I do not know it is a reallyyyyy good price or not, but please check it out at ELMS:
http://elmagicshop.com/ They sell three types of white cotton rope: 300 feet, 1500 feet reel, and super rope (50 feet). Koji |

MagicMan,
I don't know where you live but here in NC, the Home Depot sells 100 feet of "clothesline" for less than $6. I'd suggest you go check out Lowes and HD again. If you don't believe me, search "Howie Diddits" if you have enough posts. |

If you have seen my act, I use 8' of rope every show. The cost does matter at that rate. It is even worse to run out of rope. The last good rope I got in spools came from the flea market in Nashville. Now I use a smaller diameter but very visible rope from WalMart. It is cotton but it is not in the hardware department. It is in housewares where the ironing boards are kept. It is about three cents a foot. Not bad! That is one tenth Tannen's price.
Great tip! Tired of high priced rope shears? Had yours taken out of your luggage at the airport? Go to the restaurant supply place where ever you are and get the shears they use for processing chicken. They are about $12 and cut rope, metal and leather like butter. They just look like plain metal shears. These are worth having sharpened later after a couple of years. They won't rust or bend. And the handles are man-sized. Next best source! Tandy Leather Company leather super shears ($30). Nearly as good as the poultry shears above but they rust. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Hello Curt,
The rope is Do It Best Eclipse braided cotton (210 lb.) from Ft. Wayne, IN. It comes in 100' hanks. There is also another package that is sometimes in the same department. It is not as course a weave. But it doesn't matter which I use in my routine. It is really just rope and shears. These shears say Gold Seal (St. Petersburg, FL). They have a satin finish all over. And a real hexnut and bolt holding them together. The total length is 8.5". I hope this helps you to string them along. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Chazpro at http://www.chazpro.com has 300' of rope for 29.95. This I have found is good rope and also comes in colors. They also list it on EBay.
Check them out. I have always had good service from them. Park
