So that's what happens when you don't use cards for a while, maybe I should start ignoring my cards too. Wow!

I have been performing the "Flop Up" as part of my ACR routine for over a week now and its been getting phenomenal responses from both laymen and magicians as well. Certainly more for magicians especially that it is using a signed card BUT it augmented my ACR a notch higher.
Octanes JV...., I never abandoned my cards...LOL! You guys just see me more with my coins. This is a result of "CROSS TRAINING". You have to play around with the cups, coins, boxes...etc... in order to see these things. Its true! ENJOY! Rannie

If I remember correctly, the Boss mentioned that he practices manipulation in the restroom. He even dreams of magic in his sleep.
Recently a DVD about Jeff McBride entitled “A Magickal Life: Jeff McBride,” was released. From what I remember reading on the forums, Mr. McBride spent some time looking for real Magic in the world. The Boss has himself done the same. I guess what it all comes down to is passion for the art. Great things come from great love. |

That is correct John. I did travel the world in search for real magic. I am a long time student of prof. Jaime Licauco (you may do a google on him) and we had many great adventures together. My adventures with him belongs to another thread of its own. I have seen a lot and experienced things no manipulator or video editing can do. At the end of the day.....you are right! It all comes down to passion for whatever art it is you are into. I would love to know what Mr. McBride saw out there and what his conclusions are. The magic is from within...the tools are out there in abundance.

That is not a part of an ACR routine, it is the routine. |

Been thinking about this move in the context of an ACR routine. I currently end mine with the Braue pop-up, and think that the Boss' Flop Up is the best finisher to the routine I have seen. When I use the Braue pop-up, I burn through the deck pretty quickly because I hate working with bent cards. It appears that the Flop Up allows for you to keep your deck in good performance condition for strolling situations.
Rannie, wish I could attend the Tokyo Magic Convention with you. Magic and Japan -- two of my favorite things! Let me know if there is another Japan convention in the future that you will attend. |

Wow man! That is really beautiful. I hope you get a video of your ACR up at some point. I love the ACR, but it's hard to find people who do ones that I actually like. I get the feeling I'd like yours.
