Hi everyone. I bought a set of coins that nest a few years back and have never used it until recently. I have somehow lost the instructions for the original routine but what I really want to know is what this set is called. I've figured a good routine with the set so it's useful to me once again.
Ok...here's the setup. The 1st coin is an English Penny on one side...American Half Dollar on the other. It is milled down so it's smaller in diameter than a normal English Penny or American Half Dollar. The 2nd coin is an English Penny Shell that nests over the 1st coin. This shell is the same diameter of an English Penny or American Half Dollar. The 3rd coin is a standard English Penny shell and fits perfectly over the nested 1st and 2nd coins. It also works perfectly as a shell for any English Penny or American Half Dollar. Anyone know what this set of nesting coins are called? Thank you. Rachel.
I'd much rather regret something I've done than something I was too afraid to do. Have a great day. Rachel.

Sounds like one of the two gaffs in a Hopping Half set; the other is a ] to a regular American Half with a regular Half

Hello Rachel,
GeorgeG and TWOCAN are, of course, correct. It's one portion of the Hopping Halves gimmick. The only portion you are missing to make this a true Hopping Halves gimmick (set) is an expanded half Dollar shell and a regular half dollar. Jim. |

I'm pretty sure its the Sun And Moon Set. To do a Hopping Halves routine, you'll need an additional Half Dollar and a matching [.

It sounds like the Hopping Half set from Johnson (which comes without a std half dollar which is the only non-gaff in the set).
