I've never had a problem with that move, even though I think it is not necessarily a move most spectators would consider a logical way to turn over the top card. I think it works because if your patter is the story line where you are simply explaining what a street hustler did to you, then there is some backward logic to a few unusual moves in the routine since you were being hustled. This is one of the few times, in my opinion, that it is OK for the spectator to "think" something might have happened -- even though they aren't sure what.

A good story line helps a lot. Also, you can do a slip, either at the end or side to good effect...

I prefer to always move my hands the same way.that way when the top card or bottom card are shown as the top card they are shown is the same way.the 2nd card I use dl.M.Wilson gypsy card monte moves look much better but they are quite hard.any tips on that.
Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.
