There are some great youth magicians out there!

It would be great to read some comments on any youth performing in magic shows that you've seen.

I'm going to start the discussion off by saying that I just returned from Las Vegas. One of the shows that I caught was "The World's Greatest Magic Show" at the Greek Isles Casino (near the Convention center just off the strip). This show was great, even though you don't see it advertised much.

Jeff Hobson was the MC and did some killer comedy and magic! Joseph Gabriel did illusions and a great traveling knot routine. Dan Sperry, a young magician with a Gothic look, did super dove magic (he won a youth contest two years ago and has gotten himself a spot in this Las Vegas Review... Great job, Dan!)

Lossander did a super levitation and bubble routine. And Jason Baney did some manipulations and vanished a large chain. Ray Shank closed the show with an Asian manipulation act. He vanished a bird to be found inside an egg inside a lemon. He also did a broomstick levitation using bamboo!

Great show to see if you are going to Las Vegas. All the performers came out to the lobby after the show to meet people and sign autographs (very classy thing to do).

My son worked backstage at an IBM convention two years ago and met Dan Sperry. They have been corresponding a little since then, but it was great that they got to meet after the show last week!
