Okay. I'm not sure how many of you have read my other post about the card in eye thing ("they'll be eyeing you after this one"), but here's something different.
The trick is simple enough, and I know of a way it could be done. The magician asks the spectator to hold onto his arm, a little bit lower than his shoulder. He begins to pull away slowly, the spectator still holding on. All of a sudden, HIS ARM RIPS OFF OF HIS BODY!!! THERE IS BLOOD, AND HIS FINGERS ARE STILL MOVING, BECAUSE THEY ARE HIS REAL FINGERS!!! He then takes his arm, and "twists" it back into it's socket, and he's fine. I know, I know, I need help, but, what do you think?
Magic is for the weak minded...the spectators, I mean.

Hey Man! If you can pull that off, go for it, but I'm a little sketchy about production costs on something like that.

At the time, it would be difficult to market, and I don't plan on doing anything for a year or two. I'm also thinking of some others. Here they are:
A signed card appears inside of your heart You pull out seemingly endless lengths of colored ribbon from your mouth. Then you do the same with your intestines. You swallow a signed coin and retrieve it by digging into your stomach. You have the spectator choose a coin from a pile of change, and have the date remembered. You collect all of the change into your hand, then take out a revolver, shoot the pile of change, and show that the bullet only went through the coin...and your hand. You produce a rabbit from a hat, and set the rabbit on the table. You then put the hat over the rabbit, and hit the hat with a sledgehammer. You then look beneath the table, and show that the rabbit has gone through! Also, for you who have not seen it, look at "they'll be eyeing you after this one" in this thread for another trick of mine. So... what do you guys think?

LOL!
What you described reminds me of The Amazing Jonathan. Though I have to say that you do have a very imaginative mind and that's really a big step towards originality. I can't wait to see those effects in a real performance. One thing's for sure, the audience would have a hard time forgetting you. Go for it! Cheers, Alex Tan Singapore

Those effects you described would be nice for childrens shows!
Seriously, I recently saw David Blaine on television pull his heart out of his chest, and then fall dead face first on the floor. Disgusting illusions have their place, but they are not my favorite. As Alex Tan says above, they are one way to make an impression.
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

They do have their place. There are a million haunted houses that would love to add these type of illusions for Halloween. They are in competition for the "coolest" effects and our $$$$$$.

Joseph is right.... maybe you should contact some Haunted attractions and offer your creative services!
As for the card in the eye thing; Penn and Teller do a similar version where the value and suit of a chosen card appear in each of Teller's seperate eyes.
Things are about to change........ LIGHTS!!!

There was a guy on here awhile back that created an illusion of putting a rabbit into a blender and making a magic strawberry milkshake, he got lashed for just the idea of it.
I like the bunny thru the table, sounds great but I wouldn't do it for kidshows! lol |
