While this is not nearly as big as Doug being in the news today =)
I thought I'd share this just the same. Chloe Veltman is the Chief Theater Critic for the SF Weekly which is one of the 2 big independent newspapers in San Francisco and one of the 4 main San Francisco papers that get's circulated around town and around the Bay. She's also a freelance writer whose work appears in papers from London to New York (ok there's nothing but ocean between London and New York but you get the idea.) She sent me one of the many articles that have been flying around recently covering the report in Nature Reviews Neuroscience about magicians knowledge containing a window into the brain. I replied back to her and she seemed to think my response was worth writing about, even though I totally digressed from the topic. The link leads to her blog on Arts Journal that gets about a quarter of a million hits. http://www.artsjournal.com/lies/2008/08/......out.html This also appears on her own sites blog http://www.chloeveltman.com/blog/2008/08......ml#links I think I'd totally get creamed on some of the other rooms in this Café but I figured the Spooky Bizarre kids in the back corner booth would be into it. Thanks, Christian

Christian,
Good artical and a great way to make what you do stand out as being more than a guy who does tricks. I shows you have depth and so does the art. Thanks, Jim

Thanks Jim!
That's what I've always wanted to do. Bring more depth to my art and make lay audience's see that there can be more to what we do as magicians than just sensational stunts. I really believe that is going to be a large part of magic and mentalism's future in the 21 Century. Well, that's been my dream, at least. C
