I am also meeting some friends from the north Jersey and New York area at Kutztown who I met at the second best magic convention on the east coast Metro Magic. Much like Kutztown it is a small magic convention that concentrates on quality performers.

That is great Al. Meeting people and hanging with friends is the the best reason why I go to conventions. I like talking with people and meeting new ones. That is a thrill for Kelly and I. We also just know so many folks that half the time the only time we get to see them are at events like this.

Ryan..do you happen to know just how many people have registered? Just curious.

Kelly

I hear it's some where in the neighborhood of 170? That's just the all dat passes.

If anyone out there wants the all day pass with dinner you have to get your tickets right away. We were already talking about moving some tables around to fit everyone.

Kelly and I have never been to the tavern so are hoping someone can point us in the right direction, or we can go with someone or something. We hear good things about it.

Kyle,
No problem but I will have to point you to the left direction to get to the Tavern from the Convention. I can give you some info at the Convention.

Bringing my designated driver (actually my wife is coming to keep me from spending too much like I usually do). But she will be driving too! So see you at the Tavern! -J.R.

I've had no luck getting a return call (October 17, 2008) from the magic shop. Is there a better point of contact?

Subsequently, Eddy from the shop emailed me. Thanks! That was quick and helpful.

Wait a minute Bob Sanders my old buddie from Alabama is going to Kutztown next Saturday, I guess I'll have no alternative but to wear a clean shirt. Bob and I will both be performing at the FAB magic convention next August in Colon Mi, and I am really excited about meeting the good professor face to face. Lunch is on you Bob.

Al,

Folks there were really nice and allowed me to come anyway. That was even after your recommendation!

I'm really looking forward to this. I've met a lot of these folks on the Internet or by phone but never in person.

Bob,
Other than the guys coming to the convention from Vegas you might get the award (if there were one) for longest distance traveled.

You will enjoy yourself, it's a very fun and laid back convention, unless you try to sneak past me with out a wristband.

Bob. Awesome that you were able to get in contact with the guys. I hope my information was helpful. It will be great seeing and hanging out with you again. Just like at IBM/SAM only minus the stickers and the Café party. lol

Psst pssst Bob: You distract Ryan with some silk magic and I will slip by and grab us 2 wrist bands. =)

Ryan: You mean Kelly and I traveling all the way from Pottstown and suffering as we drive through Reading, is not worthy of any award?

and by the way you just drive around Reading.....

I am looking forward to next weekend. It is always a good time. See all of you there.

For those of you who don't know Bob is a big time silk importer, and I'm sure he will have a few silks with him for sale next Saturday.

Hey that works for Kelly and I. Just make sure it is awarded ONLY if I am driving the truck. If Kelly drives.. well.. um.... it may not be called "Excellence" any longer. hehehe shhhhhhh no one tell her.

PS: You mean we can actually drive AROUND Reading? But then I would not get to see such great scenery. Then again I just go the way my GPS tells me to.

AL is also 100% right. Bob has some amazing stuff for sure.

You didn't tell about "truck magic".

I suppose for that you'll use a pull. (In Alabama we usually PUSH.)
