I have downloaded the index on the magic magazine site which has all the magazines from the first on to recent issues and is in a format that lets you keep it on your computer and have it in a MSAccess file.
Does Genii have anything like this for subscribers? -Jay |

I don't think Genii has anything as comprehensive. I do have on my PC an index of Genii contents from Jan 99 to Nov 06. It is a small txt file that I can email you. I don't recall when and how I downloaded for sure, but I think the Genii web site lets one look at a summary of contents by year and month. So, I selected and copied month by month. the earlier months have less detail. the later months describe more.
For example here is description for Jan 99: January 1999 (Vol.62,No.1) Mr. Burger Takes to the Stage by Max Maven; Accidental Collector by Richard Kaufman. Magicana includes "Dracula and the Handmaidens" by Brother John Hamman, and Hawaiian Pop-Up Move by Curtis Kam. Columns: The Unseen Side of Dai Vernon "Sub Rosa Crimp" by Dai Vernon; The Jennings Tapes "MacJenings Aces," by Larry Jennings; "Maximum Dimension," by Max Maven.

I have a lot of genii magazines but I have no idea what is in many of them! If anyone has seen the Magic magazine index you know it is very extensive and very detailed. I know the open index project was around for a while but I didn't think an actual file came out of it.
If anyone out there has thoughts I'd love to hear them. ehands, I'd love to work together to start compiling an index. What say you?? Jay |
