I'm looking for a clever, funny magician's oath to put on the back of a laminated membership card for kids. If I don't put an oath on the back I am thinking about putting a self working trick. Does anybody already do this and if so, would you be willing to share?

I often have a funny oath I do when I start my magic wand teaching sessions at parties. It goes something like this: (keep in mind this is always done in person with the kids repeating after me)

"I promise never to say what others tell me to say. I also promise, to do my homework, to listen to mom and dad and to wash the magicians truck. I promise to never reveal the secret I am about to learn and to practice before showing it to anyone."

Now this done in a comical fashion verbally is funny and gets good reactions. It may not work nearly as well in written format. You may have to modify it a bit. It may at least give you some ideas.

I've always like the....

"I promise to never tell anyone how anything works. I understand that if I do tell my secrets, I will hung upside down in a tree by my stinking socks! Magic is a secret and telling others how tricks work will lead to magicians becoming an endangered species!"
