I've been working on this routine lately -
anyone use it regularly? On angle problem I'm having - anyone to my left side has a pretty good view of the false transfer - anyone else have this problem? Thanks for the input |

what i suggest is try adding your own touches to it to make up for getting caught. Routines are outlines to follow but if they don't work for you then it looks like junk so try fixing it to fit you.
I have two versions of hanging coins that will be released shortly. I start shooting with L&L in June. Joe

When performing the "false transfer," if we are thinking about the same moment, the left hand can easily block any view of the move.
But, and this is so hard to describe without images, these thoughts might help. In taking the coin from the left into the right, you can kill the angle be turning your left hand more inward at the wrist. (The back of the left hand better blocking the left side. By this I mean the coins in a line perpendicular to your trunk. Taking the coin changes a little as you will have one coin under the top edge you are grabbing, but this is not a difficult challenge. The left hand can block the unusual positioning of the coin if neccesary. As for the "replacement" of the coin, don't turn your left wrist over completely, just open up the left fingers enough to "return" said coin. If you're worried about them seeing the coin after it has allegedly been placed, go ahead and rotate right hand into more of a display position with the coin perpendicular to the floor while its still near the left hand and being blocked. Of course, the EASY answer is to "show the coin" (back of hand holding coin) to the person on the left prior to "placing" it in your left hand. This forces the body to turn and kills the left side entirely. (If you are working surrounded, then you've taken on a pretty huge challenge.) The angles on the right stay safe since the right hand can block the left throughout. Face front as you transfer the fan of coins. I hope this helps. |
