Hi.
I need some feedback on these. Aparently "Backside" is simmilar to card to back pocket on one of the Brian Tudor DVDs. I do not however own the DVD nor do I know if I perform mine in the same way he performs his. I have not yet seen "The Jokes On You", after I performed it, I saw something simmilar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RwgHt67la8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2hu-THZgsQ Let me know your thoughts.

Looks just fine.
I noticed that you are from South Africa btw. Ken je Afrikaans spreken? if you want some hints you could also PM me but I'm more into cold reading and mentalism to be honest. |

Thanks for the encouraging comments. I am a beginner and have a lot to learn, but it goods to know I am still good as beginner.
I know card to pocket has been around probablt just short of the pocket, but I in all honesty do not know how that particular one was done, although I did see the performance in a ad for Tudor's Heckler DVD. And yes "Ek kan Afrikaans praat. Ek is a gebore Afrikaner, maar my vrou is Engels" To translate "I can speak Afrikaans. I am a born Afrikaner, but my wife is English" ;) As soon as I have more time I will PM you guys above for some input. Keep the comments comming.

For Card to Pocket my only criticism would be that you looked too concentrated during the shuffle. Try to look at the spectator and talk! One other minor thing, the revealed card come back too near (in contact with) the deck. This might imply a logical solution to the layperson (i.e. a switch). It doesn’t matter if it is the correct one or not, all that matters is what the spectator ‘thinks’ has happened. It's a bit like 'no-palm' Card to Wallet when the performer places the wallet over the pack before removing the signed card!
Can you palm? Maybe you could precede this revelation with a palmed Card to Pocket or since it doesn’t really work as a stand alone effect IMHO. |

Nice videos. Just a little suggestion for you: "The Jokes On You." Your elbow movements while back is turned tip your hands are doing something with the cards. Keep them motionless.
Look forward to more videos! |
