I have a wooden close up pad that is recessed on the bottom as if it was made to fit over a small table...I want to mount it to a symbol stand....does anyone know an easy way to mount it so that it is easy to take on and off, and allows you to put the close up pad down on a regular table?

Hi Mike,
Think Velcro, clips or snaps on a base attached to the stand then whatever receiver of the snaps, Velcro or clips on the close up top! Hope that helps, Mick |

Any way you can show us a photo of the underside of the wooden close-up pad? How large is the recess compared to the dimensions of the pad? One idea that comes to mind would be to mount a thin board to the cymbal stand, using a pipe flange, so it can be detached. Look at a Eureka table base for the general idea. The thin board should be of appropriate size to fit the recess of the pad. The pad can possibly sit on top loose, if the recess is deep enough, or attach as Mick mentioned, with Velcro or clips. Neo magnets would also do a good job securing the top.
