We've gone many times but not this year unfortunately. It's a fun time to be there. Especially when it's really warm weather...all those heavy black long coats...

Haha, I know! A friend invited me the past couple years, but in shorts and a light colored t-shirt I'm still a human puddle by five pm. (Which ruins any real thought of getting a hot, thirst inducing pretzel or churro)
Thank goodness this year they moved it back. Though, not too awful sure if November in Anaheim is anything like November anywhere else.

Wouldn't it miss it for nothin'...except maybe for that scary part. You know, at the front gate, where they got the big wallet vacuum ya gotta walk past to get in

As much as I enjoy the mad mash-up of Edward Gorey, Gustave Dore, Roger Corman and Mary Blair that is BDATFP, no, I'll have to pass this year. Squirreling away my ha' pennies for January's dues at the Magic Castle, MAYBE another AP...and with any excess funds going to nuisances like rent and food.

The youtube vid seems to show more 'normal' dressers...Bats Day is a BLACK DUDS, PIERCED, SPIKED HAIR, TATOOED, CLOTHES THAT ARE TOO HEAVY FOR THE WEATHER kinda day with big crowds that just wanna have fun and gather for the GROUP photo in front of the Castle. It's a fun day to be there and get an eyeful of high strangeness. Goths and Diz just seem to go together more than you'ld think.
