I have searched the forums and googled it but have come up blank.
I am looking for a VELVET table hopper pad that does not have a hard back so I can still roll it up. Does one exist? Can velvet be made to work on a non-hard back? Thanks for any info.

I just bought one this weekend from my local shop. It has a nice rubber back. I will see if I can find where to get one. Where are you from?

The shop I got it from is in Reading, PA. I will see if he has more, maybe he can sent it direct to you.
Rereading your post...... I think it is a Velet like fabric, and not real velvet. |

Ok, thanks. I am looking for vevlvet or at least looks and feels like velvet. Not felt like material like most pads.

Here is the one I got - it works very well, just make sure if you are doing coin work that there is nothing to hang on the fabric.

I saw the magic warehouse pads and I like them too. Still a bit too plush for my poor coinwork.

Making one from velveteen, a piece of cheap carpeting and a thin piece of plywood is not very difficult or expensive.
I'm a big fan of hand made props.

Thanks to all.
I tried making one from some micro velvet. Big mistake. Although it looks and feels great, cards and coins have too much friction and are hard to slide around. I will try it next with actual velvet and see what happens.
