Does anyone know of books, or any good routines, with esp cards? I do a few routines, and I was hoping people could recommend some more.
All the best. |

There is a short book by Sam Dalal, called "Magic With an ESP Deck". I got it free when I bought my cards. Most of the effects are self-working, leaving bags of room for presentation and personal touches. They can get some really strong reactions.
I'm not sure where it is available from, as there is no publisher named in my copy. But, maybe someone else in the Café can shed some more light on it. Another thing worth considering is that ESP symbols work really well with sound reading, and pencil reading (two techniques which are well worth having in your armoury). Corinda's "13 Steps" gives a whole chapter over to these skills, and I'm working on them a lot at the moment- especially with an ESP deck. Hope this helps, Mathew. |

"Mind Novas" by Stephen Minch is devoted to effects with ESP cards.

There are several routines with ESP cards on Max Maven's "VideoMind". "Shape-Up" and "Symbalance" on Volume 2 (close up) immediately come to mind. By the way, I love "Symbalance".

There's also a whole series of books (7, as I recall) by Howard Adams, called "O.I.C.U.F.E.S.P".; these are largely devoted to ESP card effects.
And hey, there's an excellent ESP matching effect in "Mindsights" that closely mirrors the original Rhine protocol. ... Doug

I second the vote for "Mind Novas", as well as the ESP effects found on Max Maven's DVD's. But I don't turn my back to the participants anymore during "Symbalance", after one guy (a magician in this case) began looking through his cards. He ignored/forgot my previously given instructions. Call it bad audience control on my part, if you wish.

Richard Osterlind has a nice open prediction ESP routine, which is very practical.

The "Card Magic Of Nick Trost" has a good seciton on ESP card effects.
Wonderful card magic is also between these pages. Ted (Leondo) |

I would second Ted's recommendation. Most of them are easy to learn, and many don't require anything more complicated than a false shuffle.
You might also want to look into Paul Hallas' "Hallastack". I can't remember in which of his books he describes it, but if you are a convincing liar; then you can perform a miracle or two with it. Love, Pandora |
