But does it work as far as not really burning yourself the way it looks?

You have to understand how fire works. The heat rises. You have to keep your hands away from the top flame. The bottom of the balls are somewhat safe to handle without getting burned. Anytime you play with fire there is a chance of getting burned. It's actually the Butane that is ignited and not the cloth. The flame rises up which is the part that will burn you. To put it out close your hands over it. However, the fellow in the video has obviously done it several times because he did it slow. I don't recommend anyone doing this without a good understanding on how fire works. If you got a good idea how fire works, and respect it's power, it's a really neat trick.
