Morning/afternoon/evening all,
I'm going to be in New York for a week next month and I'd really like to see some magic while I'm there. Anyone know of any shops/bars/street corners that are worth a visit? I know there are some top guys who work in NYC and it'd great to meet some magicians on my travels. I live in London and I've never been to the states before, so I'm very excited about it all. I'm going to be there for a week mid-January (excluding a few days in DC). If anyone wants to show me a nice bar and an interesting card trick then give me a shout - I'll buy you a drink and everything. All the best, Daniel |

Stop in Fantasma across from MSG. Also, Monday Night Magic and Simon Lovell's show are good bets.

Magic is an art. I am merely a tour guide.

There's a new show called magic manhattan. A google search should get you the info you need.

I haven't seen Steve Cohen's Chamber Magic show, but it's been highly recommended to me by people who have.

I believe Big Daddy Cool is referring to Manhattan Magic (ManhattanMagicShow.com), which is a weekly magic show I co-produce in the heart of Times Square every Wednesday at 8 PM. It features the best magicians, comedians, and variety performers in the world and everyone's invited to come out with the performers after the show.
Definitely say hi if you come to one of our performances! All the best, Harrison

Daniel,
I haven't seen Steve Cohen's show yet either but I have heard that he does a great job. If it is not too late, while you are in Washington DC, don't miss Glenn Gary's Parlor Magic and Comedy every Wednesday and Friday at 8 PM at The Westin City Center Hotel. Call 703-963-0790 for reservations and read about it by visiting http://www.glenngary.com. The Washington Post Going Out Guide has a four star rating on it, and The Washington Visitor's Guild says it's a MUST SEE. Enjoy your visit to America and I hope you have a ball.
