Hi All
Being new to and researching mentalism (in a fairly serious way); I have just received Corinda's "13 Steps", Bavli's "Perfect Key Bending", and Revello's "Sightless Vision" as a first order from a well known supplier in New York. Apart from slow answering to questions (they answered a particular question at least a week after I had placed the order for the Key Bending anyway... I couldn't wait any longer and 'took a chance'), Revello's "Sightless Vision" instructions seem incomplete. Or rather are. There was no blindfold (just the hood) with the package, and assuming I then have to make my own; there are absolutely no drawings either! (But the ad does make mention of a blindfold). Anyone else had similar problems? For those of you who do have "Sightless Vision", is mine incomplete? I have emailed said supplier; but in the meantime (while I wait yet again), I would like to hear from you. Regards, Jo |

Maybe it is referring to the hood AS a blindfold?
Now you know to avoid Tannen's. Well; Dexter's book "Sealed Vision" is now available again, all about blindfolds, different types, routines etc. http://www.trickshop.com/blindfolds.html It is put out under license from Martin Breese, who owns the copyright; and is also available as a downloadable e-book. Blindfolds are also discussed in Corinda (note the spelling). Paul. |

If I remember correctly, the hood is the "icing on the cake" for a blindfold act. You have to have some form of blindfold already on, and then the hood is then placed over your head. I don't believe the instructions give you any info on blindfold work.
As was already stated, Corinda will give you the scoop on blindfold work. On page 172 he deals with hoods. As he states, the hood has some positive aspects. IMHO, if you have a credible looking blindfold, the hood may simply be "guilding the lily," so to speak. Terry

Thanx for the input guys. I was away for the weekend and only got to see the posts now.
Paul, in my haste I did spell Corinda incorrectly (and only realised afterwards). But even so its a great book! I am so glad to have got it. Jo |
