I was just wandering if anyone here used KEM or Copag or any other type of plastic professional grade card... Also do most people who do manipulations prefer bridge size cards which are 2 and 1/4 or just regular poker size which are 2 and 1/2 ?? I was just wandering bc I just bought KEM cards and was wandering if these types of card would be good for flourishes and other types of manipulations.. Also I was wandering whether to get the bridge or the poker sized cards.. Thanks for any feedback or any thoughts...

These are high quality cards for poker games or magic tricks, but very very poor for flourishing. You can't really fan, faro, or spring them nearly as well as those cards with paper stock and air-flow finish. However you can use them for weird stuff like flourishing underwater (also called "elementals")
Some manipulators use bridge sized cards (younger kids or small-handed people, but some pros like David Crofts prefer them) however it is generally not recommended because if you only gain proficiency with bridge sized, 99% you are out in the world and someone hands you a random deck, it's going to be poker sized - you want to train with poker sized definitely. |

Yeah I'd definitely steer clear of plastic cards for not only flourishes but for any card techniques requiring sleight of hand. They are far too slick when back to back and any movements requiring packets to stick together are all but impossible, at least in my experience anyway.
