I am wondering if anyone can tell me what copper UK coin would match up in size to the Morgan dollars. I have a couple of routines that I'm working on and need a 'dollar-sized' copper coin for it.

Sorry, mate, I don't think we have anything that size, especially as a copper coin. I might be wrong, but the old English penny is half dollar size almost perfect. The only thing that comes close is the commemorative 5 pound coin, which would be too big and very heavy for what your looking for.
If you go to the copper/silver part of http://www.schoolcraftprecisionmagic.com you will find a couple of coins that are the right size. luke

The only dollar-size copper coins I could find where Haitian Crowns I bought from Todd Lassen.
Maybe you are lucky, and he has some left... |

Todd uses copper pattern coins for his Morgan sets that are not officially minted coins but fantasy ones created by private individuals speculating what a coin of that era would look like. Many can be found on eBay.

You might take a look at this one if you're not against using an American coin, sort of an "across the pond" sort of usage. Looks really good and could provide you some interesting patter.

I actually can't find any of those on eBay (Lassen coppers). Any link?

Also, try "Pattern Shillings"; there is one with a Buy Now of 14.50 for 3 copper coins just like ones Todd has used.

Also, Gaddy might've missed my post here, but we're speaking of the same coin. The links I gave take you directly there.

At a coin show, I found some commemorative medallions that work well.

I actually solved the problem! I went by a coin shop that I don't normally use and found something extraordinary: a copper 'token' coin from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. It's beautiful!
