These amazing Traditional Styled cups are the perfect thing for your routine -- 4" high with a 3" mouth, but made of kiln fired stoneware! Only $150 for the set!!!
Actually, I'm fulla crap. I found these cups at Ikea for 29¢ each. That's not a typo, the price shocked the heck out of me. I got four as a set of drinking glasses that can be used impromptu at the table for dinner guests. They seem pretty sturdy -- maybe a little noisy -- I really wouldn't want to try the cup through cup with these, but really, for twenty nine cents each, how bad can they be? There were literally hundreds of these things in a bin in the housewares section, and some were slightly different colors -- a note over the bin mentioned something about the kiln process making them unique But I reiterate for this found cups set, for 29 cents each, how bad can they be? I found the link on their website http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00117298 but it looks like they're only selling them in their stores. Click here to view attached image.

I converted them into 2 different sets for my performances - one as a chop cup (2 different sizes) and the other for my combo cups routine. Because people know that those cups can be bought in IKEA, I fooled the audience badly after converting them.

Pete, no problem. I'll pick you up a set and bring 'em to Dean's on Wednesday.
Good idea though, Pete, about buying a gross, although I already blew it by telling folks about it. But for the people who haven't read this thread... Stone(a)Ware! a new routine, including cups for only $150! (oh wait, the people who have read this thread have already read this thread...) nevermind... Consider it a Christmas/Hannukkah/Winter Solstice/GrinchDay present! Now you can all send me something!

They come in 2 sizes and really look like David and Goliath when placed side by side.

I went out to Ikea this afternoon and bought four (3 + a spare). While looking over the cups at Ikea, I noticed that the cups come in two shades of beige--one of which is barely darker than the other. (looks like two different runs from two different suppliers). Anyway, the slightly darker cups have a slightly smaller mouth opening and, as a result, will not completely stack onto the lighter beige cup.
The darker beige cup stops approx 1/4"-1/2" above the stack ring of the lighter beige cup at the base of the cup. On the other hand, the lighter beige cup easily stacks onto the darker beige cup, but, becuasae it is slightly larger in the mouth openin (I.D.), the cup juts out about a 1/4" when the two cups are stacked. (Hope this made sense.) I only mention it becausae it is easy to miss the color shade variance until you get home and discover that all the cups you purchased are not identical or uniform in dimension.
Magic is a vanishing Art.

I ordered a set on Wed. and STILL nothing! I have sent 18 e mails and called the toll free number several times to no avail! This SUCKS! And the shipping is more than the cups! I could have practiced all weekend but instead went into a big time funk! Oh well, maybe Monday!
