I want to make a stripper set of cards (not playing cards but about 3 1/2 x 7 or 8 inches long with picture on them) I stopped at my local Michael's Crafts and they said they could cut the dimension from a thick poster board but they could only cut straight.
Any suggestions on how to get the fine tuned edge on these cards? Wouldn't they all have to be cut at the same time? J |

John, the best strippers are always cut one single card at a time.
What you might want to try is set up your own paper cutter with its factory guide in place, and against that factory guide you want to place your own "wedge" of wood or plastic. You can make the wedge by sanding something like a popsicle stick lengthwise, which you will then use double sided tape to adhere the popsicle stick to the paper cutters guide. You'll want to do a couple of test cards, and then you'll want to cut all of your cards at one go, with the exact same set up on the paper cutter, and definitely one at a time. Note that even with the popsicle stick wedge in place, you should still be able to adjust the factory paper cutter guide that it's adhered to. You may want to make a small adjustment or two after you cut your test cards. I use a different type of set up for playing cards, but this is the exact set up I've used to make stripper post-cards. |

Silverking hit the nail on the head. I did the exact same thing as him. But you might want to put a piece of removeable double stick tape on the cutter to hold the card still...i've cut and sometimes the cards move even if I am holding it.
roses are green, violets are yellow...oh and i'm color blind
