I'm itching to buy the True Astonishments set in the new year.
This year I spent more than a fortune on magic (over $1000 on books, DVDs, and effects). But I ended up building my book collection to twice its original size and learning plenty about theory and the "real work" behind magic. My biggest purchase? A package from Jay Sankey that ran me over $200.

Biggest purchase in a week's time was Windomation by Sean Bogunia, Pre-ordering True Astonishments by Paul Harris and giving my CC# to Todd Lassen for Triple Threat. My wallet said "Slow down buddy gonna wear the leather out!"

I bought a black beret and one of those shirts that look like a blouse, very fem, isn't that all one needs to be a magician?

Richeka...so your the one who got the Jewel! I was trying to remember who got that one...every once in awhile, someTHING comes out of my hands that seems to trancend mere sculpting skills and enters the realm of 'no way I did that!'
She is the most commented on piece on my site. Brett: Good one.

My biggest purchase this year was my pre-order for the Paul Harris DVD set. Other than that, my biggest purchase was a set of cups from RNT that has yet to be delivered, and a beautiful wand from Rannie Raymundo.

Apart from my Flea Circus, which I still haven't added up the reciepts to see how much it actually cost to build. My second most expensive purchase was Losander's new Haunted Box which just arrived in the post yesterday.
Other pricey magic expenditures this year were two tips to Vegas. One to attend the KGB and the second Mc Bride's Magic and Meaning conference. I also bought a used sound system for $300.00 So far it's been a fairly costly year. Fortunately next year will be less expensive as I'm doing an existing show for the libraries. Which is good cause I'm sure bookings for those institutions are going to be way down this year due to the sagging economy

Naaaoooooo... I don't wanna say!
Ok, Stewart impersonations don't really work on chat forums. Anyways, my biggest magic purchase was one of those Winston Freer Tile Puzzles (379.00). They really suck, don't buy one. GlenD
