Did you check with Terry to see if he'd tell you where he gets them?

Chance Wolf might know as well. More than likely you'll have to have one custom made by a local Basket Weaver. This was the hardest thing to construct when I built my snake basket a few years ago. I ended up using strips of sheet foam from the craft store which worked out pretty well.
How was KGB this year? Sorry to have misssed it.

It would seem that any narrow-necked basket would do . . . There are a lot around. While Private Eye Python basket may be too wide around the rim, there are plenty of narrow ones . . . If you ever go to Mexico, there are basket weavers everywhere . . . in US I don't know of open air markets full of them, but bet that florists would know. Also, places like Pier I and World Market tend to stock a lot of those.

Check out the Target Store in your area, they had some interesting baskets.

When we put our snake trick out, we built a box and had very slick DANGER signs made for the sides with a bamboo backround. You could do the same thing. It had a hinged top that stood upright for the snake to appear.
You could design it to fit your show.

Come on Mike, Be creative, use a fish tank where they ca see a real like snake, Fake back wall, sealled-in real snake, so the fake snake can jump out. That should be a "heart stopper"!
