It is a great book, as are all of Farelli's works. Now available as PDF from Lybrary.com: http://www.lybrary.com/convincing-coin-m......s_id=331

I'm ressurecting this old post because I'm interested in purchasing this book. For those who have this book, what are your opinions compared to other material? And are there reviews posted anywhere? Thanks in advance!

There are a few pics of the table of contents if you wanted to get an idea of what's in the book:
http://www.abebooks.com/CONVINCING-COIN-......71055/bd I own it but only skimmed through it so I can't say much(lol.) I really should give it a closer read. ;P |

Atom,
I notice the "The Paul Fleming Book Reviews Volume III" contains a review of Farelli's "Convincing Coin Magic". I don't own Vol III, though; I picked up Vol 1/2 at Magic-Con and find them helpful in their reviews of magic books from the 1930/40s. Fleming is the same Fleming who published a series of classic magic books: Our Magic, Magic Without Apparatus. etc (see http://geniimagazine.com/magicpedia/Fleming_Classics_in_Magic). The Paul Fleming reviews are also availalbe at Lybrary.com. Maybe someone you know has vol. 3 and could check out the review for you? I find Fleming's reviews generally useful. Good luck! Larry |

It's good, but it is pre-bobo, and the technique will be, how to say, more archaic than later texts, though there are some very interesting things that other coin guys likely will not know.

Pre-Bobo? Wow!
I really only want to fool David Neighbors! (He's a pal of mine). Otherwise, for laymen. Sounds like an intriguing book. Still not sure whether this is worth the investment.
