I too would like to know where one could purchase one of these. the one I currently use looks like a silver tape measure I bought in a dollar store.

Mr. Lyle,
I like your style and stage persona/thinking. After reading the thread, I would do it the way you suggested. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it. It sounds like it is most fitting to your style. I do a very similar routine. If you want to a quick hit with the audience, there you go! It is good to have balance within a show. Keep the audience wanting more and not knowing what will happen next. Thanks for sharing your good thoughts and ideas. |

I use my Roydon "Swallowing Sword" the same way Christopher does, and have been using that particular routine as a comedy opener for 18 years now. Someone mentioned not being able to find one of these swords. There was one on either Martinka or KT Magic's auction in the last few weeks. Went for almost $100, too. They're very nice if you can find one.

Fun Inc. doesn't, however, sell the ROYDON "Swallowing Sword", which is the best ever made and seldom comes up for sale.
