I'm looking for the name of a rope effect. A rope comes out of your coat. You try to pull it out, and then you try to pull it out from another side, again and again,
until, in the end, you really have meters of rope. Would like to know the name, and also where it can be purchased by preference in Europe, thanks a lot! |

I think the name of the effect you are looking for is "Professor Cheer's Comedy Rope Trick." It is sold in many magic shops worldwide, but you need to do a search for that name in the shops where you prefer to do business in Europe.

I have one, but you do not mention the "shorts" finale, so the professor cheers may not be the one he speaks of.

Some magicians who like the idea of Prof. Cheer's, but do not like the idea of the shorts ending, have come up with some alternate endings. One of those is to simply extend the rope another 12 feet or so. One I liked was having that section of extra rope dyed in multi-color stripes. Yet another performer ends with a flag and salutes it.

Melbourne Christopher has a fairly similar routine, doesn't he? I believe it was called "Stretching a Rope." I've got the booklet around here somewhere...
