Whether you plan to attend the SAM 2009 National Convention in July or not, you can place an ad of support in the convention program. The following is from PNP and M-U-M Editor Emeritus - David Goodsell:
As you probably know, our S.A.M. National Convention in Buffalo, NY, will be dedicated to Norm Nielsen, truly a living legend in magic. As editor of the convention program, I am responsible for gathering ads for the program. I suspect that many of you will want to let Norm know how much you appreciate his commitment to magic as an art. I can think of no more artistic performance than his lovely violin routine, and his work with posters and quality props is legendary. Beyond that, there are no nicer people on earth than Norm and Lupe Nielsen. In working on past convention programs, we have had people tell us after the fact that they wished they had known about it and how to place an ad. You may wish to place a personal ad, or perhaps get a few friends together to place an ad. You may encourage your assembly to place an ad. You may decide to combine a tribute to Norm with congratulations to outgoing and/or incoming national officers. Perhaps you would like to place a congratulatory ad to outgoing National President Bruce Kalver and/or incoming president Mike Miller. Or you may want to place an ad unrelated to any of this, simply as a promotion or as a greeting or note of friendship to those who read it. Whatever you decide to do, please email me so that I can plan. We are offering three sizes of ads: full page ($175); half page ($90); quarter page ($50). If you will email me I will send you a pdf with ad information. I need everything, including payment, by April 10, 2009. Cheers, Dave Goodsell email: superg13@comcast.net Telephone: 801 724 9758 |
