Hello,
I'm considering investing in an I.T.R for mentalism. I've heard a lot about the Ammar videos but it looks like he mostly deals with magical effects like the "Floating Bill". I myself don't wish to perform effects like this nor do I think they are convincing unless you can eliminate the fact that your using I.T. I'm looking for a book that describes the basic principles mentalists need to know to sucessfully use I.T and maybe describes effects that don't look that amazing on their own but can be made into unforgettable presentation of an experiment with flawless presentation. Thank you. John. |

I sometimes use IT in advance or afterwards of the show when I'm talking to the people.
I take a piece of paper, or something else what is lying on the table and lay it back, and during the conversation, maybe a few minutes later they "see" something. Maybe they even don't realize it but then it moves again. I pay no attention to it, but by the look in their eyes you see them thinking: what the ..... is happening here. |

NICE magic4all!
I've read "the art of invisible thread" by Jon Leclair, which is considered by many to be a bible of thread work. It details the Le Clair animator, many effects with this non-ITR hookup, harvesting your own thread, and lots of real world experiential advice. Though it is more "magic" than mentalism, the difference I feel is in the presentation rather than in the method. Hope this helps. Ric |
