As a 1960s baby, I grew up with rock, which I still love, but the big band has a special place in my heart. The new genre of Celtic rock works for me (Dust Rhinos!) and my favorite live band is Chicago's own New Duncan Imperials.
How sad when I hear that someone can't appreciate a wide variety of music. |

I really love this thread. Post URL'S to maybe some of your favorite groups and videos too. I want to make a small request and that is comment on the videos I post as I will do the same ESPECIALLY this one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05HEQx155rE This is the MOST EXTREME METAL THERE IS. There's two types primarily of this metal. The URL above is a CHRISTIAN GROUP believe it or not. It's usually called "Black Metal". Black meaning darkness. It comes from mostly Norway and Sweden. Now the Christian Groups that play this style usually classify themselves as "White Metal", or "Unblack Metal". In the Black Metal concerts they'll have inverted crosses on stage, pentagrams, real dead animals heads on stakes and yes they wear corpse paint. My Avatar shows that Make-Up Style. Now Christian groups almost look the same, and have the same sound, BUT the lyrics are different, they'll have crosses on stage, and yes THEY TOO wear corpse paint as this video will show. It's all in the message. In this video you will see the star of David and Blood. The Catholics will get that more. Some songs they sing in Hebrew. Maybe it's a Hebrew group. This shows that Christian Music does not have to be boring....lol. Please keep naming your music like it's cool, but if you can comment on some of my videos. You just might like them especially this one. Thanks, Ed, (Eddini), C.H.

Bob wabted to work out and asked me to find a gym close by. I called a few and found one. Bob and I walked from 34th street & 8th Ave all the way to 39th & Madison Ave. Just the two of us walking through the streets of NYC, talking and having a good time...it was GREAT!!! So we get to the gym, he turns to me, hands me his wallet and says "Please hold this while I work out." After he was finished, we walked back. Nobody bothered us, a few people knew him and said hello but other than that, mellow. Bob Weir...cool guy! |

I've always wanted to respond to a Music post, Form country to disco, from soul to metal, opera to bebop, jazz to bluegrass, like it all!
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.

And I'm probably the only straight male in New England to own Liza Minnellia's last album. I was very confused about my sexuality when I was younger. I felt that I was gay, but knew that couldn't be possible as I couldn't stand the sound of Streisand or Minelli. Destiny |

It was nice, catchy, the camera was a little jumpy but overall great. Thank you. Now who watched my link (the very last one) the Christian Band "Poems of Shadows" video, what did you think. You were probably like Holy ****...WT....I've NEVER heard or seen music quite like that....HaHaHa. Fast huh? Bob Weir Justin...Rock On. Just so people know like I posted I'm not just all metal, a few favorited youtube vids I have are Dust In The Wind by Kansas, Double Vision by Foreigner, Jumpin...Jumpin by Old Destiny's Child, and Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler, BUT, I,m 70% METAL. For the record the GREATEST (beside Hendrix) Guitarist in the worl is RANDY RHOADS, the first Guitarist for Ozzy when he went solo, he died in a Plane crash in 1982 R.I.P. He came up with the classic riff for "Crazy Train". ROCK...ON !!! Ed, (Eddini), C.H.

Dime is my favorite guitarist. Murdered by a psychotic Pantera fan.
There have been guitarists with more technical skill, but none with as much passion. Yngwie Malmsteen is probably the most technically gifted guitarist of all time, but he has no emotions, so he can't play with soul. Not that I would disagree with your point of view on Randy, the boy was gifted. Just saying what I like.

On yet another point of view, one of the most creative guitarists of all time had to be Daniel Ash.

Smooth Jazz and I don't appreciate it when people make fun of it. I have listened to everything from punk to metal to classical. Now just jazz. Few lyrics to clutter my constantly thinking brain.

Jazz is alright.
Jazz is like folk music in that I tend to avoid recordings by 'big names'. |
