Has anyone tried both of these manipulation lotions? Are they the same thing? Preferences? My hands are typically sweaty.

Interesting -- I've never heard of lotion specifically formulated for manipulators. I hope we get some reviews.

John Calvert told us of this stuff http://www.chamberlainlotion.com/ at his recent lecture. I tried it, and I think it would work great. Go to the website and read the testimonials. You'll be surprised at one of the names you'll see there!

Been using "Chamberlain's Golden Touch Lotion" since I can't remember when. I don't think I'd use anything else.

I have been using the lotion for about 10 years and just recently bought another bottle. A little advice, after buying a bottle of the lotion, go to a beauty supply place and buy a couple of those little spray pump bottles then fill them up with the lotion. You can then apply just the right amount of lotion to your hands without spillage and waste. I use it every time I perform. |

Thanks for the input, guys. Does the Chamberlin lotion give some “clinginess” to the hands for balls and cards?

It does have a slight tackiness.

I have used Norm Neilsens lotion for a few years and it works well. I heard from someone that "corn huskers lotion" also does well.

I have used both Chamerlain's Golden Touch and Cornhuskers Lotion as well. The cornhuskers lotion doesn't leave your hands oily or greasy either and I think the cornhuskers actually gives a little bit better grippy/tacky feel, but for cards, I think I would stick with Chamberlains.
Also, I acquired a bottle of Frank Garcia's Manipulation Lotion (put out by Tannen's) in a recent club auction. Besides the green tint to it, I think it feels (and also smells) exactly like Chamberlains. Garcia's and Chamberlain's probably have the exact same ingredient in them, but there's no ingredients list on Frank's. |

This is not an endorsement of any product, but something you might want to look into.
You might want to check out the previous Magic Café discussion at: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&forum=2 Also, there's "Elite Magician's Hand Lotion- 4 oz. Spray Bottle " available from Camirand Academy of Magic http://www.camirandmagic.com/ac_037.html ----- Amado "Sonny" Narvaez

I sent out for Elite Magician's Hand Lotion. When I received the package the bottle had a different design. It read "Manipulotion Spray". The bottle reads it contains: Witchazel, Alcohol, Glycerin, and Natural Oils. It is not as good as the ones that were mentioned earlier. It seems like someone mixed up the ingredients to make it look good for magicians. I would not recommend it.
