I have just received my Luna Key Box today. I mentioned previously in this thread that I am a big fan of Tim Wisseman's work, and of Rick's Outlaw products of course! For those debating whether or not to get this, I would strongly encourage you to if you have either Luna. It will add so much to the atmosphere of the effect and experience. When I took the box out the first thing I noticed was that it was old and dirty - I made sure to sit something under it before sitting it on the table - very authentic. On opening the box the keys were nicely aged and they look quite spooky hanging down in the back and there is the nice, old, smelly cloth to hold both, and soon to be three, Luna's.
I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but a nice detail is that all five keys are different! It would have been very easy to just age the same key, but Tim and Outlaw have not left out any detail - they keys are each unique to the different ward! I am very much looking forward to using this when I present Luna from now on! As I type this I am looking at the top of my cabinet, where my telegraph, dead ringer, scorpion, and now Luna Key box all now sit. When not being used in my programs, they will make a great conversation piece. So, two thumbs way up - you will use this immediately to add a little something extra to an already cool Luna effect. And, even if you don't use it - get it for your collection and let it sit there and look strange! Highly recommended! Chad PS. Someone mentioned that this was the only prop their wife made them keep in the garage. When I showed it to my wife earlier today, as soon as I opened it and got the cloth-wrapped Luna books out, she crinkled her nose and said - "Boy, that really smells old." Then she didn't want to have anything to do with it - great reaction! |

This beautiful work of art arrived today. It feels and smells like it ought to,and the look is second to none. Tim has captured the history of gloom that Colney Hatch embodies and this completes the collection of props for my stage presentation of this, which will debut fully in February during my new show An Evening of Enchantment at the Headgate Theatre in Colchester,UK. Hats of to Tim for producing such a great item.

Hi all,
Looking at this thread... The luna key box is not a trick, but a period piece for the Luna book test. Is that right? Thanks in advance... |

I have it as well. I highly recommend it as a prop. It will do justice to any/all of the Luna book tests.

I got the Hobbs Box outfitted like the Luna Key Box with the hardcover books.
Planning to use the bell as a climax. This is a pretty big departure for me, I am used to closeup or stage, but I can imagine situations where this will be devastating. Rick over at Outlaw was absolutely great and answered my silly questions, what a great shop! I'll let you know how it goes... |

Just got my key box in this morning. and it is better than I was expecting. it still has the thick musky smell embeded in every fiber. An eternal quality gathered from the decades of hanging in the cold, dank corridors that was Colney Hatch. the wood darkened, deteriorated to the point of molding.
The keys hang quietly in their hold. A suitable resting place, for thier deteriorated and brittle state leaves them unuseable. a fitting testament to the frail connections to times past that stir the mind of those of us haunted by the registry's past. Man, I cant wait to put these to use!
