Anyone seen this? Hard as hell to perfect but man it looks super sweet.
If you havent seen it I BELIEVE it's on Sankey's Secret files volume 2. |

Is this different from the "La' Homme Masque" load? Thanks.

No, it`s the same one. Jay didn`t claim it on the video.

I don't know about Secret Files Vol. 2, but it is on both Revolutionary Coin Magic, and David Roth's Expert Coin Magic Made Easy Vol.1.

As far as I am aware, the first load that Sankey performs on "45" is not identical to the classic L'Homme Masque load (that is, the one Roth teaches), but is a variant handling. (Perhaps Sankey teaches the same one as Roth elsewhere . . . )

His version of the La' Homme Masque is a variation and you are correct that it is not easy to perform right.

How different is it? If it is a variation I would assume the load is similiar. Or am I way off base?

Am I the only one who thinks the one Roth teaches looks better than Sankey's? Don't get me wrong, Sankey's is deceptive, but the original load seems to flow so nicely.

I don't like it.
Do we honestely think our spectators are not smart enough to fall for something so easy? Maybe it's because I've seen it done poorly. I've seen Sankey do it and although I am a huge fan of his coin work, this is one thing he should not perform. Chris |

Ok guys can someone describe the actions for me? Yopu can PM me.
I am thinking that this is the thing that Jay said was inspired by Slydini. Where it is sort of a lapping move done in the hands. Is this correct? Thanks, Jason |

I prefer the classic method (i.e. the one that Roth teaches).
Jason, here is a brief description of the action (not the method, which I'm sure you can work out): The left hand is shown empty, closed, and revolved palm down, as the right hand (with fingers spread wide) passes to the left, over the back of the palm-down left hand, and swings back to the right. The left hand is then turned palm-up, and opened, now holding a coin. The whole action takes 3 seconds (or, as I like to think of it, 3 "beats"). It differs from the classic method in the starting concealment and the relative hand positions/motions, but the 'idea' is the same (i.e. a coin being secretly added to a 'closed' fist.) MTP

Interesting idea. I haven't seen the Sankey load, but will be seeing his Revolutionary coin magic vid too soon.
I learnt the move from Roth first and do use it a lot. Cheers, Shafique |
