Today I received my first magical product from Eric Hansen and it is a Chop Cup. Birdseye maple and Wendgewood lip, there are lots of birdsye details all over that it looks FANTASTIC. This chop cup will fit a regulation tennis ball very easily. I used a RNT gimmick ball with this cup and it works fantastic with a light touch. When you look inside the cup you will find absolutely nothing but beautiful wood, and I mean there is nothing odd at the inside-bottom of the cup.
If you hand this cup to someone, WARNING, they are going to stare at it for a long time and might want to keep it for themselves. Thanks to Eric for such a beautiful work of art. http://www.magicnook.com/EricHansen/EricHansen.htm |

I have 5 of his cups, 3 with the shape of a regular chop cup and 2 with a more bowlish shape, all in different type of wood and burls. They are excellent and beautiful to look.
I also have a wizard wand is also very nice. His service is first notch and the shipping from Canada was fast enough in each occasion. I do recommend his products. Pablo |

I just got a custom made birch burl/walnut lip chopper from Eric this week. I can't stop looking at it and handling it. It has a really nice aesthetic with a final load of fruit. Beautiful!

Eric is a top craftsman and a dang nice guy as well! We talk wood now and then and I've picked up a few groovy tips along the way! Eric has sent me a couple bundles of the beautiful burl he uses and I've turned some wonderful pieces from it!
The great thing about Eric's work is it's not mass produced and you can see the passion in every piece he turns! MMc |

I just ordered one, and I'm stoked!
I think the concept of a wooden chop cup makes much more sense as why would anyone suspect a m********** wooden cup (not to mention a hand made gorgeous peice of art at that) to have such properties??? Even the sharp and wise laymen shouldn't get a clue. |

Zaprig1, you'll love it I promise. There are reviews on my site of a few of Eric's pieces if you want to check them out while you are waiting for it to arrive.

I like leather 'cuz you can load a billiard ball sans noise.

Mindyourmagic,
I received Eric's Birch cup. Unreal!!! What a showpiece!!! Of course, you were correct.....love it! This one fits a tennis ball, and baseball for final loads perfectly. The color and size contrast between the two are visually stunning! Carlos, Thanks! I was also thinking the wooden cup would lend well to explaining the history of the cups and balls being the oldest effect in the world. This is a great way to really pull specs into the routine. I'm pretty sure the magi of the Ancient Egyptians weren't using metal or leather for that matter.............. |

I just purchased one of Eric's cups from kwmagic yesterday - it has three different woods in it, it is a beautifully made cup and you don't have to 'bang it' very hard to make it work, picture is here
