...great effect for those of you in the know. FYI, I find that "hearts" works better than "spades", and I now permanently go for H instead of S, if you know what I mean. Anyone else feel that way?

Definitely been my experience in performing to women (wow, that could be interpreted the wrong way!) that Hearts is certainly the most commonly selected suit, when offered an 'open choice.'
However, in Bryn's handling of "7," it really doesn't come into play, as the suit is not where the slight risk lies...I suppose if you were to switch the colour (off the top), you could have a slightly more predictable second phase, but even here, you still have to do 'the business,' as some people (many women included), associate Diamonds with $, so you're still left with the need to do 'the business.' |

I almost always choose a male to perform this effect. Around 8 times out of 10 it plays 'straight' all the way from start to finish, I love when that happens.

I love this effect. I am amazed at how well it works with magicians; who, when trying to reconstuct it, realize that there are no "outs".

Ah, good point. Every time they have gone to the ideal location. I think the demonstration count really has something to do with that. And I think this is one of those effects that requires you “to believe”, if you know what I mean.

Regarding the "order," well,...I really don't perform much for magicians, nor have the inclination to. (And not all of them even know the order, or would have any reason to think about that moment, due to the scripting.) Also, for those that know the effect, this is such a "blow-off" type of segment & moment (which really accomplishes soooo much!) I am glad SEVEN has been well received by the mentalism community, and look forward to reading more thoughts! Thanks, Bryn
