I use lavender baby oil gel found at the dollar tree. Its cheap and it works. I just use about a dime sized drop and work it in really well. It keeps my hands hydrated but also gives them a tack that is often needed for card work. Plus... The lavender just smells soo good!
Hope this helps Shane |

My hands are never dry when I perform. I wonder if they have a cream that makes your hands drier?

For the UK, I can recommend Nutrogena "Norwegian Formula" Hand Cream, which comes in a tube, is available in most chemists, and you only need a TINY amount each time you use it. It's glycerin-based, inexpensive for the number of uses you get from each tube, readily available, easy to carry about and works extremely well. |

The thief of time has robbed my hands of moisture. A number of hand creams has proved efficacious for card work but I never could find anything to facilitate coin handling -- until (maybe) now. I keep a practice coin by my bathroom mirror (a clad Ike dollar) and a couple of weeks ago accidentally got a gob of toothpaste on the coin. I rubbed it off and in doing so coated the coin. It then had a bit of tack that made it just perfect! I could handle it well no matter how dry my hands. It's been two weeks now and the coin still feels great. I don't know if this is a "real" solution, but so far it seems promising. I haven't yet "treated" any of my performance coins (silver peace dollars).

Just a little update.
I got some of the norwegian formula cream recommended by muse (despite my wife saying it was horrible stuff! hehe) and its great! Just a little dab of it and it gives me just enough tack to pull that second out Also got some U.F. Grant's manipulation lotion as advised by Cardician99 and that's great too....so now I'm spoilt for choice. Fantastic I've found that putting on the cream and waiting 1/2 an hour then applying the lotion give me a long lasting tackiness without being greasy. Thanks everyone |

that's interesting about toothpaste. I've never been able to really get away with coins at all because of my hands. I may just try it again - and it'll be minty freah too Now where did I put those half dollars.... |

Any moisture cream will do the work. I have very dry hands... not able to do a clipshift or even an ascanio spread without my Nivea
