The Sterling Magic version made the gaff the way Steve Dusheck made it - it is not a shell. Personally, I prefer the Kling brand cards, as I like the 'force' being in the card due to its nature and rather than a shimmed card. Just like bending the card and WHOP!
Steve used the Kling cards, and has likely performed it more than all of us, combined, so I doubt he had folks questioning the back design of the card Everyone's mileage varies. But to answer the OP's question, I prefer Sterling. I did buy another online by "Thurston Magic". Worst quality coin I have experienced.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

So, are we still in agreement that the Sterling makes the best coin/gaff (for LT)?
I'm not that concerned about the card. I like to hide it in the wallet. . . Jorey

Mr. Dusheck originally used Sterling to manufacture his product. I heard [rumor only] they increased the minimum batch size they would produce of his effects and he thought it was too much inventory to try to sell.
I have no idea if gets anything out of the ones they market on their own. |

I suppose the 'half dollar' could have been made of bright green plastic instead of the cheap chromish plastic? Thankfully I also have one from Sterling. Not sure why I haven't thrown the other one in the trash. |
