Looking for a basic hard figure for a gift.
Not the $1,000 jobbies, or the string-in-the-neck dolls. Entry level mechanical figure for good prices. Recommendations, thoughts, resources, suggestions? Thanks, Tod

Glen Rappold makes wonderful Marshall Tribute figures. I own (and use) one and have no regrets. Very reasonable price and professional quality. You can find Glen's figures on ebay from time to time as he puts them directly up for sales whenever he has made up new ones (sees to be several times per year).
Very nice guy to deal with, as well, during transactions. Jonathan

I have an old man HEAD only with raising brows Locally made but looks really nice. This was my back-up Don Dominador until clients requested for the Payes which was the original Don Dominador.
Selling it for $350 shipped which is basically just the price of our masks...this is a steal for a full size vent head with raising brows. Just get a body from Braylu for less than $100 Here's that particular head in action...with a Braylu body. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXDz_ZcwAFc

Try ebay.
Craig Lovik figures (had sold through Maher) is good enough and sometimes you can get it very cheap. This are not a converted toys figures. Tim Cowles, http://www.dummywork.com also make nice figures too. |

I too agree that you certainly get more for your money with a Dan Payes figure than with anyone else out there. His figures are all one of a kind, his mechanics are smooth and quiet and his paint jobs are really nice. At a base price of $495.00 you just can't go wrong. He also delivers in a very short amount of time. Usually your figure will be done within a month which is unheard of with any other maker. Name me any other maker who can do that.

Just thought it might interest some members to view a photo of my Frank Marshall Tribute figure made by Glen Rappold (head molded by Mike Brose).
To view this photo, click on the link under my signature. As mentioned, I am very pleased with this figure. Easy to maniputle, and (IMHO) beautifully made at a very reasonable price --when compared to other figures of the same caliber. For those interested, you can contact Glen directly at: glenvent@san.rr.com or: 858-292-5421 Glen is a gem of a guy to communicate and conduct a transaction with and he is also a working-pro in his own rite. Jonathan PS: I've tried to upload a larger image of this figure, but it seems teh "file" is "too large" and teh Café "rejects" it!!!! If anyone wishes to see the larger image, please send me an email at: max@maxmagician.com Click here to view attached image.
