I know of one. She's too busy busking to spend her time on the forums. Maybe there's a lesson there somewhere.

I don't think she's even on the same continent as us. But it is cold there, and wet.

I know of one in Key West. Not bad.

I know many female buskers. Bellydancers, aerialists, sideshow performers, fire performers, hula hoopers, musicians...No busking female magicians though.
They do well and get good hats.
And most of them are even further north than I am.

She's the one Robert and I were thinking of. She was in Key West. I think she's in England now, but I could be wrong.

BTW, she's a member here under a different screen name.

I saw a woman magic busking in Portland, OR a few years ago. She did a very nice ambitious card.

Lucy Lou, in Germany. Great. She's been at it for a good 15 years now. ,...just had a baby!,... hopes to be out again in the fall.

She's an Acrobat/Juggler. Lots of `old hats' aren't so fond of her show, because it's so untypical! A bit `soft'. That's her strength, in my opinion. She's always developed and done what she found to be beautiful.,.. god, that takes balls!

Last year she put together a tight-rope act. She dressed as a portrait painter, set up two esels, strung a slack rope between them,... mounted it and went to work,... manipulating paintings and picture frames. Great! Not a lot of hard, `big', broad comedy. But lots of visual skill. Very appealing to families.

What's also special about her, she travels! Tries to hit a new town every couple of days.

Lucy Lou,....my hat's off,

There was another girl I met in Vail, CO a few years back. She was a juggler/contortionist type. She had a pretty good act. She put a rolla-bolla up on a tall platform, and balances on it in a handstand.

Actually better than good. Pretty amazing I'd say.

I just can't recall her name! (doh)

Female MAGIC buskers rather than female buskers in general. Anyone?
The presentation makes the magic.

Billy Kidd's worked in Key West, Edmonton and now in the UK. I may be wrong, but I think she told me she once worked over in Japan too. Her skill with a deck of cards is incredible.
