If you will wash the yellow ones, you should be able to get the traces of red dye out of them. If you wash the red ones in soapy water, then rinse in water with a bit of vinegar in it, it should remove the excess dye and set the dye that remains.

I like the super soft balls but the set I have is like 2.5 inches so I keep them in my coat pockets. if I'm walking around I use my 1.5 inch sponges which are just regular. I like the way they pop when a spectator opens their hand but the compressibility of the super soft make for a great effect when they open their hand and have 2 giant sponges. I guess I just love performing sponge magic almost as I love watching it |

The very BEST sponge balls are from Japan. I got a couple with a Tenyo trick years ago that combined the Gozinta boxes with sponge balls. can't remember the name right now, but I think it was "ParaBox" or something similar. Really nice, SUPER compressible (more than the Goshman suspersofts) and brilliant colors. Also, very expensive and hard to find, though.
I use Goshman 1.5 inch supersoft for my routine. I wash 'em and wring 'em out and the fluff up to bigger than 2" regulars, but three will fit into a Sanada Gimmick--just can't do that with the regular ones. I don't use the hand sanitizer--almost pure alcohol and dries them out more. They don't last as long as just washing them with antibacterial soap. I bought the red ones by the bag, so I still have quite a few unused ones.
