Does anyone know what happened to Bob Cassidy's Mental Connections web site? I cannot find it anymore. Please post or email the link if it still exists. Thanks!

I almost hate to do it (give him business) but you asked so here it is: http://exclusives.mastermindreader.com
Good luck. I recommend you order only e-books and don't make any mistakes (like a double payment) because it will be a long time, if ever, hearing from Bob to correct it based on my experience. I'm still waiting from October for a product I ordered and from November for him to correct a double payment. I've emailed him numerous times, as per his instructions, and have never gotten a single reply. I know I am not alone and he treats some of the big names in mentalism the same way. As if that is a consolation. For a long time I defended him because of the singular quality of his work, but enough is enough. |

His material is so good but his commercial behavior is intolerable. I think the same way: enough is enough.

Thanks for the link! I have to say that I onlyorder the ebooks as someone had told me that they waited forever to get some clipboards (he may still be waiting!). But I have enjoyed his ebooks and other writings so until I get burned I guess I'll take the plunge! Thanks again!

I also ordered a couple of items from Bob sometime back in the fall. The clipboard arrived promptly, but months went by with no sign of the book. I'd written it off to experience, but was very pleasantly surprised when it finally arrived a couple of weeks ago. And it was definitely worth the wait!
Now a question about the eBooks... I still favor good old-fashioned paper and ink. The value of the information will *long* outlive PDF file format, IMHO! So could someone who has purchased Bob's eBooks please tell me whether the print function is available, and whether I can produce my own hard-copy for my bookshelf? Thanks and regards, -- David |

David,
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for the secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world, with a ten-year track record. PDF is a universal file format that preserves the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe® PDF files are compact and complete, and can be shared, viewed, and printed by anyone with free Adobe Reader® software. To date, more than 500 million copies of the software have been distributed. You can convert any document to Adobe PDF using Adobe Acrobat® software products, enabling business, engineering, and creative professionals to create, distribute, and exchange secure and reliable Adobe PDF documents. So, in short, yes they (Cassidy's pdf's) are printable. If you've ever tried to read stuff from a monitor for long periods of time you'll know what a pain it can be. Stay clear of the old HTML eBooks though, I found these never printed properly and I wasted a lot of time and paper. Frank.

The pdf ebooks print nicely enough. The Windows E-book format ones don't. Someone else may have a solution for that problem though.

The print function can be disabled by the distributor (as well as the edit functions - cut, copy, paste). The document may also be password protected. So, unfortunately, it isn't as simple as the above generalization. |

I have only ordered one from him in the past (with the exception of "Fundamentals of Mentalism" series) with no problems. Speaking of Mr. Cassidy, does anyone know where he stands with the "Fundamentals of Mentalism" series? I received the first three or four and I believe two more are to be released. Thanks |

Add the Fundamentals problem to my list of complaints posted above. I forgot to mention it but I emailed him regarding this problem too.
I find it interesting that he hasn't apparently had time to complete the last two fundamental installments, which we've all already paid for, but has had plenty of time to put out almost one new ebook per month. It couldn't be that the former generates no new revenue while the latter generates a great deal, could it? Naw, I must just be getting cynical. On the potentially hopeful side (though, I've learned not to get my hopes up when it comes to Bob's promises) on the ad for his latest ebook, he states that he has finally sent out the last of the long overdue close-up CD and Mojo Doll sets. He also said that his new ebook is included with the recently sent package as a "bonus" for our patience, so not to buy it if you are one of the people still waiting for the CD/Mojo combo. I'll believe it when I see it. I've noticed that I don't even get announcements from Bob anymore. The only reason I found about the new ebook advert was because Andy Leviss was kind enough to forward it to me when I told him I seem to have been dropped from Bob's mailing list. Has anyone else encountered this problem with not getting updates from Bob over the last few months? |

Don't give up on Bob. I know it is hard waiting for what seems to be forever to receive your order. I just received a blindfold from him that I ordered about 6 or 8 months ago (I am assuming they are tough to make as he doesn't even advertise them anymore). But, it was worth the wait!
It may take a long time, but he eventually comes through. Although, I agree, it is a terrible way to run a business. BTW, the Fundamentals series was originally only supposed to be 4 volumes. That's what you paid for. Think of the remaining two issues as a bonus! If you don't want to wait, stick to the e-books. They are all wonderful! Best, Sandy |

Sandy,
While I agree with you about the quality of Bob's ebooks and most of his other products, and until about one month ago used to come to his defense as you have done, I disagree with your stance on the Fundamentals series. When he first advertised the series for sale, he clearly described what the end results would be. When the second installment came out(at least I think it was the second, I'm not home right now so I don't have access), he stated that to provide what he had promised would take two additional installments. He never tried to portray them as a bonus. So, I cetainly don't see them as a bonus but as part of the material promised in the original description. See my comment above on why I think he hasn't finished the series. Bob has misled his customers in so many ways over and over again that I think it is reasonable to hold him to his word. That is not a "bonus," but the way business should be handled. |

Remember that with Bob you have one of those reare people who both perform and create. He is honest and in time all things usually smooth out

Honest, then, must be a relative term. Bob promised on more than one occasion that the final two installments of Fundamentals would have been sent out months ago. We're still waiting.
I like Bob. He's been very good to me, and is brilliant. I even went out of my way to call to his attention security flaws in his website that were opening him up to easy thefts of his manuscripts. But I cannot condone his business practices. He has absolutely no business releasing new manuscript after new manuscript when he still owes those of us who were promised the final two volumes of Fundamentals. If he has time to write all these new manuscripts, he *** well has enough time to finish the two he promised months and months ago.
