Hi, my name is Ricardo Pascual (i'm working on getting my username changed). (I wrote this thread two times last night but my internet closed the windows just when I had finished writing EVERYTHING, so I'm here writing this.. again!) I'm a young, (talented) magician who over a 2 1/2 year journey have come up with some new tricks and variations. I'm mostly a card guy but you can probably see me making effects with some coins. All the effects created have been tested on audiences and get killer reactions.
Anyway so this is my first e-book and I'm looking for people who can volunteer to help me with it. I'm still writing up the effects in the e-book and in the process of giving proper credit. Like I said, I would need some volunteers who can give me an honest opinion on what they think and give me sime tips on making it better. I'm not planning on selling it yet, want to see what the volunteers say first. If I ever plan on releasing it, I would only charge $10-15. So here are the effects I hope some call out your attention. (I'm writing them without patter because it is just a general idea on the effect. Envelope Prediction- A card has been placed on an envelope by the magician stating it is a prediction. A spectator holds the envelope. A deck is brought into play and another spectator is asked to name some cards which they think could be the prediction. Now give them the pile of cards (Ex. 12) now they shuffle the packet, cut the packet you tell them to name a number between 1-12. Ex.6 They deal down to the sixth card and they turn it over and it is the six of hearts. They open the envelope and inside is a six of hearts. Ctw (card to wallet) transpo- Two cards are selected by spectators and are lost in the deck. The magician opens the wallet and finds one of the cards, he looks for the second one but doesn't find it, since he can't find it he will use the first card found. He turns it over (Face-down) gives it a wave turns it over and it is in fact the second card selected. Prediction Card- A red backed card with the word "Prediction" written on the back is placed on the table. A card is selected from a blue beck and is signed and lost in the deck. The magician turns over the prediction card and it is the signed card! They keep the card as a souvenir. Prediction Card II- A red backed card is placed on the table, the magician states it is a prediction. They take a blue deck shuffle it to their hearts desire and are asked to deal cards face down and to stop when they get a feeling they should stop. Now they stop at one card they hand it to the magician, he turns it over and it is the 7 of spades. The red backed card is turned over and is infact the 7 of spades. 4 jokers then what?- A interesting packet trick with two cards tranposing at the end.(Don't want to reveal much on it) Biddle upside down- My take/variation on the classic "Biddle trick"- A card is selected and lost in the deck. The magician attempts to cut to the card. They turn the deck face up and removes the top five cards. The spectator is asked if the card is there, of course it is. Then the magician takes the deck away, and the fan of five cards is squared and is tossed on the table. Now there is only one card the magician turns it over and it is the selection. (Very visual effect, four cards disappear and they have no idea how) 21st Card (or any card)- A pack of five cards is brought out and they all have different numbers written on the back. Ex. (35,21,6,52,43) Now they are asked to select one. (Ex. 21) The rest of the number cards are discarded and a envelope is brought out. It represents your magic printer. You proceed to take a picture of the card with 21 written on the back. You open the envelope and inside is a picture of the 21st card. You discard everything else and a deck is brought into play. A card is signed and lost. You say "hmm you had selected the 21st card so your card should be the 21st card, (21 cards down the deck) You proceed to deal down to the 21st card and to your amazement it is not the 21st card. You proceed to remove the card from the picture (in which you do visually) now you have a picture without the card in there and in your hand a real size card with the number 21 written on the back it is turned over and is in fact the signed 21st card. (Very nice, they keep the card) Under the couch- This one I'm not sure if I should release it though but here's the effect. The magician brings out a half dollar and shows everyone the coin. Now the magician takes out some cards with the name of some coins written on the back with an image of the coin on the face. They are told to choose one. (They choose the English Penny card) Then the magician takes the cards out of the box and hands someone the cards for some shuffling. The magician places the half dollar in the card box and shakes it to prove it is still in there. Now the magician is given back the deck of cards and he instructs a spectator to choose a card. They choose any and is signed if they wish. The card is taken back and placed in the middle of the deck, and then the cards are given a cut and left on the table. Now the magician recaps all of what has happened. Now the half dollar that was in the card box is shown to be an English penny and is handed out. Then the magician asks where could the half dollar be? He checks the deck and voila in the middle of the deck is the half dollar and the card beneath is indeed the signed selected card. Bonus idea-Victim- this is my take on the "Witness" trick. It is a little like Witness but it is a impossible prediction. I'm just gonna throw it in there to see if anyone can make it into a good effect. So there are the effects I basically have planned to include in the e-book. If you want to be a Volunteer please comment on the thread and state that you would like to be one. Keep in mind I only need like 5. Sincerely, Ricardo Pascual |
