I want to print lifesize photographic images of people onto very sheer fabric. What's the best way to do this? All I can come up with so far is screenprinting the images in chunks, but that would take forever.
The image doesn't have to look perfect, but I definitely want to somehow print it rather than trying to paint it on. |

Here's a company that looks like it might be able to provide what you are looking for (the first image looks like it was done from a photo). You can even upload images to the site:
http://studio-productions-inc.com/print_order.html Here's one idea that is sort of "do it yourself" - Suspend the scrim with a large sheet of paper "tight" behind it. Project the image from the rear onto the paper and airbrush (or have someone airbrush) the image lightly onto the scrim. This seems like it wouldn't be too difficult if the finished product were a monochrome image.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...
